Opening weekend of the 2013 Fort Hays State University season and Jesse allows
only one earned run in 7.1 innings in this win at Denver to help FHSU defeat Metro State University.
Jesse gets his first win of the season here and FHSU takes this first series two games to one.

Seen here on April 4th, 2013 Jesse helps Fort Hays State University pick up their only victory
of this season over the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Jesse is the starting pitcher for this
MIAA conference game and serves up all but the game's final out. Jesse finishes strong by pitching no-hit
ball over the final 5 innings and allowing his team to pick up a tough win. These
five consecutive no-hit innings are the most strung together by any FHSU pitcher in a game this season.
In a previous outing Jesse gets the highest single game strikeout total by any FHSU pitcher this season by
throwing chairs to eight batters in the win as FHSU splits their doubleheader with the University of Central Oklahoma.
Yet another notable achievement by Jesse comes this season when he pitches a complete game shutout
over MIAA Conference foe Northwest Missouri State University. FHSU has not had a complete game shutout by a single pitcher
against a MIAA Conference opponent in three years prior, nor has this feat been repeated by a FHSU pitcher since!
Jesse continually builds upon his successes all season. Jesse doesn't commit an error all year
and doesn't give up any triples. These accomplishments lead the MIAA Conference during the 2013 season.
As a sweet bonus in his final appearance Jesse faces the MIAA Conference Player of the Year and MLB draftee
Michael Schulze from Missouri Western State University for exactly one at bat and masterfully strikes him out!
This becomes Michael Schulze's one and only strikeout in his 34 at bats during all seven of MWSU's MIAA Playoff games.
Later in June of 2013 Jesse earns a spot on the MIAA Conference Academic Honor Roll,
which for him continues numerous athletic and academic honors gained throughout his college career.
